テイト・マクレー（Tate McRae）
■カナダ出身、2003年7月1日生まれのシンガーソングライター/ダンサー。弁護士の父とダンス講師の母をもち、６歳の頃からダンスを学ぶ。
■７歳で自身のYouTubeチャンネルを立ち上げ、ダンスなどの投稿を開始。翌年には本格的にダンスの競技の世界にのめりこみ、毎日６時間以上の練習をこなしていた
■13歳でアメリカの人気ダンスオーディション番組『アメリカン・ダンスアイドル/So You Think You Can Dance』に出演し、見事準優勝に輝いた。ダンサーとして『エレンの部屋/The Ellen DeGeneres Show』や『Teen Choice Awards』など様々な番組やアワードに出演履歴をもつ。
■ジャスティン・ビーバー本人に選ばれたキッズダンサー４人のうちの１人として、ジャスティンのPurpose World Tour 2016に出演。
■2017年に 初めて書き上げたオリジナルソング「One Day」を投稿し。1時間で書き上げたというこの曲の動画は3,800万回再生を超えており(2022年現在)、彼女のシンガーソングライターとしての才能を見せつけた。
■2019年、レコード会社11社による争奪戦の末、本人の意思で米RCA Recordsと契約を結び、本格的にアーティストとしての道を歩み始めた。RCAとの契約を発表した8月28日に、記念としてビリー・アイリッシュとフィ二アス・オコネル作詞作曲の「tear myself apart」をリリース。
■2020年1月にデビューEP『all the things i never said』をリリース。同年4月に発表したシングル「ユー・ブローク・ミー・ファースト」がTikTokなどをきっかけに世界中でヒットに。新型コロナウイルスの影響でカナダの実家に戻った際に友人と共にiPhoneの一発撮りで撮影したミュージックビデオも現在1億回再生を超えている。2021年3月13日付けの全米シングル・チャートで自身最高の17位にランクインを果たし、ロングヒットを記録。
■「2020 MTV Video Music Awards」では＜最優秀MTV PUSH新人アーティスト賞／PUSH BEST NEW ARTIST＞、「2020 MTV Europe Music Awards」では＜最優秀"MTV PUSH"賞／BEST PUSH＞にノミネートされ、さらに米ビルボードが選ぶ「21 Under 21 Ones To Watch」や米フォーブスが選ぶ「Forbes 30 Under 30」にも音楽カテゴリで選出された
■2021年3月、セカンドEP『トゥー・ヤング・トゥー・ビー・サッド』から先行シングル「スロウワー」をリリース。Apple MusicのApple Nextに選出され、独占インタビュー映像も公開された。
■2022年5月27日、待望のデビュー・アルバム『i used to think i could fly | アイ・ユース・トゥ・シンク・アイ・クッド・フライ』をリリース
■2023年9月、シングル「greedy」をリリース、リリース開始から約3ヶ月で総ストリーミング数5億回突破。Spotifyグローバル・チャート1位を記録、またカナダ人女性アーティストとしては初の快挙となるBillboard Global 200で1位を獲得するなど、どんどん記録を更新中！
■2023年11月、シングル「exes」をリリース。配信開始3週間で再生回数5300万回突破を記録
■2023年12月、セカンドアルバム『シンク・レイター』をリリース
